| Hello all:
My wife and I were considering putting up an American Holly living screen. I have read this variety can grow upwards of 20+ feet tall and 10 feet wide. Are there any downsides to keep the screen trimmed down to 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide, once it fills out and matures? I don't mind the maintenance issue, I just want to make sure the screen will grow and thrive if I keep it height and width restricted. I know there are other smaller holly varieties but I really like the American Holly. Thank you. |
