| Just want to share with other midwest gardeners what a delight my visit was this past week to the Missouri botanical garden. The Chihuly glass in the garden exhibit runs through the end of the month and I would be interested to here how you like it. |

| We went over Memorial Day, and thought it was wonderful. However, I did enjoy the Chihuly exhibit at the Chicago Botanical Gardens a few years ago better. Maybe because it was the first Chihuly/plants exhibit I'd seen, so it had that first-time "wow" factor...maybe because it was in the middle of winter, so it was enhanced by my excitement at being amongst greenery in the middle of January. Whatever the case, there's never anything better than being smack in the middle of my two hobbies, gardening and glass art. (Now if he could just add rodents, I'd truly be in heaven!) I've raved about the St. Louis exibit enough that I've managed to convince some of my students to make the drive down and see it-- And here's a little side-note: one of my brothers-in-law almost ran over Dale Chihuly years ago when they both lived in Rhode Island. Poor Chihuly just doesn't have good luck with cars... |
