looking for central missouri gardners

hello,
i will be moving to missouri in january. i need veteran gardeners to correspond with/ask questions of. for
example,
i would like to pot up a few of my favorite hostas and wondered it they survive in pots (outdoors) in mid-mo?

Yes, they should survive just fine in the pots, but you might want to bed them into the soil a bit and apply mulch the rest of the way....

And....you never know, we may have a mild winter and the soil might not even be frozen at that time...
