hello!

I'm wondering if members have recommendations or comments about fastigiate screening trees for the KC metro area. My neighbors have built a 2 story addition and there are some rooms in their addition that look right into our family room's transom windows.

We have a 6 foot privacy fence and that part of our yard is narrow so I've been considering the European hornbeam or the green pillar oak. It is south facing. We really only about 10 feet to fill and about 5 feet of depth or we lose our entrance into the yard.

We are thinking of grouping them in three so they are slightly layered to provide some winter screening, too.

Any thoughts or other recommendations?
