rose pink, sabatia angularis

I collected some seeds from a rose pink. Has anyone out there ever tried to grow these?

They seem to do so well in theur harsh enviroment. I don't see how they do it coming from such a tiny seed.

I wonder if they need to be started in the fall and are a winter annual.

I plan to start some indoors and sow some outside.

Anyone have experience with these?

What a pretty plant! They don't grow in the Northwest, but I found the site below that might help. About midway down the page, they have a brief paragraph on propagation. I'm not certain I'd want to drink it as a tea as the website mentions...

Fantastic list of seeds! I think it is just great that you have focused your life on nature at such a young age. I too would love to have 10 (maybe 5) acres someday to plant a wonderland of natives plants, and am already doing that on 1.25 acres. Difference is, my interest didn't come into sharp focus until age 45. :) There are quite a few seeds on this list I am interested in, and I checked your want list and I have a few on that list. Maybe we can do a trade this fall? Just a note - on your want list is Cynanchum louiseae - this is an extremely invasive non-native vine that is becoming a serious problem in the Northeast US. And it has the additional problem that Monarch butterflies will "sense" it is in the Milkweed family, lay eggs on it, and then it will kill the caterpillars because it is toxic to Monarch larvae.

Hello! Just go back and post under have instead. Also it would be a help if you went back to the edit my page and clicked where you could see your email addy. And if I knew what you may be looking for I would like to possibly trade for the rose pink. You answered a post on the Indian Pink but no way to email you back! Maybe if you have some of the Indian Pink come spring we could trade plants! I got a few seeds to wintersow but will have to wait to see how they do.
