Lupinus texensis blubonnet

i am new to this flower and was wandering how to grow it in nc. i have heard you scarify and stratify the seeds and i really don't know what to do. please help! i just bought seed. will it germinate in war weather?

Needs a freeze to germinate. The colder/wetter winter the better. However that is by TX standards of wet/cold.PJ

if the seed is cracked b/c of startification can it still germiante?
will the fridge work? is just wetting them and butting them in the fridge will they germinate? (HARD SEED COAT)
