Northeast North American Native Plant Nurseries

Hi All,

Over the last couple of winters, as a cold weather hobby, I've compiled a list of about 4,000 sources for Northeast North America plant materials.

Some nurseries specialize in local native genotypes, some only do seeds, some sell cultivars, and some sell only a few natives amongst exotics. Some sell only to walkin customers and some are only mailorder, and some do both.

There are many approaches to these businesses, from quaint to high tech, the binding element seems to be the love of these plants and where they grow. Many of these sources have websites with valuable and interesting information, which applies to planting elsewhere in the larger biome.

This list is in easy to use hyperlinked pdf form. If you would like to have a copy, then let me know. (I keep my computer well protected from viruses, malware, etc.) Note, I have involvement with only one provider on this list; Boston Natural Areas Networks' City Natives Nursery.
