Please help me identify....

I was trying to get my green thumb going with my first garden. Stupid me thought it was a good idea to order the bloom perfect. Now there are these straggly looking plants growing and taking over. They are all of the same species. I know bloom perfect is supposed to be wildflowers but I didn't expect these particular ones would be the only ones to emerge and to resemble ugly weeds. They are about 12 inches high, tiny white flowers, and there leaves close up at night. I don't think they are poppy or mimosa.

I've been on the web for hours trying to find out which plant it is. I was unsuccessful. Which brought me to this site in hopes some expert eyes can help me determine what plant this is. That way I can pull the little boogers out before it's too late and I ruin my garden.

Is there milky sap? If so possibly Euphorbia maculata, a weed to most.

Rhonda thanks for the reply. I googled the Euphorbia maculata...it resembles that particular plant, but it isn't the same. This one grows straight up. The milky sap plant looks to spread out along the ground almost like crab grass. I appreciate your help.

Nice, and really unique. You will just have to keep your eyes open for something that will work with that. Take the measurements down for what will work, you may get lucky and find something. The mirrors got separated on those vanities for hanging separately or just got broken. If you can find something maybe a simple round mirror with a black frame would work hanging on the wall above it. Before you try and strip and refinish check out re-amalgamation of varnish finishes. Google term or go to YouTube. Hint, if you can use this technique do it with a light hand if you want to retain patina. Also, don't remove patina from the drawer handles, just remove and give them a good scrub with soap and water. Here is one of many videos...I've used what is called mineral spirits, it's called whatever the guy uses in England, same stuff. Just check out YouTube videos. https://youtu.be/F9SsSF1Qv_Q Maybe not even use steel wool as this guy recommends. First try a gentle approach with a white cotton cloth dipped in mineral spirits. The process basically disolves the varnish, removes some, then the varnish re-hardens/drys. It happens rather quickly too. That is if it's natural varnish that was used, which is more likely than not. Doing a test spot will quickly tell you if it is varnish rather than polyurethane, basically nothing much will happen to finish if poly.

Right, Kristine?!? but I only ever had a few mislabeled out of close to 150 rose bushes over the years, quite a few of them were body bag roses. I don't mind the surprise and body bag roses generally do very well for me, over the years I only lost a handful to rabbits. They grow very well and bloom a lot, it's just not the correct rose and I would like to know what they are if anybody has an idea.

Best I can do, is suggest Mammillaria spinosissima cv 'Un pico' for #1. I've included a pic of 1 I had a few years ago, in Australia. #3 could be one of quite a few different Mamms. If #2 is an Echinopsis, then it is most likely one of a zillion hybrids, but I also get a Lobivia vibe from it. You don't indicate where you are, but remember these need LOTS of sunshine, they hate cold and need very free draining Cactus compost. Water ONLY when dry and very little, if any, water in the winter Sorry I can't help any further. This will bump it up, and maybe one of the gurus will come back.

Where are you located? Does the wildflower mix have a list of the seeds included? Is "bloom perfect" the name of the mix?

I'm in Florida. I have the package here. I looked up all the plants on the bag and none of them look like what's growing in the garden. On youtube they show Bloom Perfect, but there flowers look good. Mines are sory looking.

Here's what the package says:

Alyssum, Sweet
Milkweed is listed but the photos don't look the same as what's growing.

It isn't anything that is on that list. Chances are when you dug up the soil you exposed some weed seeds to the light and they germinated. I would pull up those things and get rid of them so your desired plants have a chance.

That part where the garden is, use to be grass. Me and my neighbor dug up everything and threw away the old dirt and rocks. We then filled the hole with Miracle Grow. Could be possible that the seeds were there. But its funny how nothing else is growing there but these plants. Is it common to get the whole flower bed full of the same type of plants after planting your own seeds? I think bloom perfect had those bad ones in there. My boyfriend is telling me to leave them be and see the whole result. It's an eye sore. LOL!

I saw some pink tiny flowers now coming in with the white ones.
