Need phlox ID, native?

Hi all, trying to ID a phlox that a neighbor has shared with me & also want to know if it's a native plant.

It looks like Phlox pilosa 'Bonnie's Pink' that grows wild at Almost Eden Plants, who have told me that they named it for their relative Bonnie. I would just like to check on it.

It is a fragrant pink phlox perennial, apx 2 ft tall, spreads easily, in bloom now in z8b Central Louisiana, heat z9, blooms most of the summer if deadheaded. Stem looks hairy but leaf looks smooth. Likes sun but ok in part sun. Neighbor has never seen mildew on it.

Can anyone tell what kind of phlox it is? Thanks!

Neighbor's: hairy stem, smooth leaf (not sawtooth)

Thanks so much, esh. I wasn't sure because it looks a little different from pictures at Everwilde & Prairie Moon. Also my neighbor's blooms from now to frost with deadheading, & that is much longer than Phlox pilosa write-ups say on the internet. I am thinking that it is a local kind of Phlox pilosa that is native to Central Louisiana. I am delighted to have the cuttings. Thanks again, appreciate your help!

The Male flower spike will usually bend over to form an arc(as below) while the Female spike remains upright. Devil's Bit or Fairy Wand(Male) I grew these plants for a number of years and over one winter, all disappeared. Cause was never determined. I believe that's Symphoricarpos orbiculatus, usually called Buckbrush here in TN. Another common name is Coral Berry. It's actually quite a pretty plant when well grown.

Great old piece.... Indian jewelry that was not made to sell did not need to be marked....in fact a lot of the old stuff was made of coins....so not sterling, but coin quality 900 parts silver. The silver work looks like it may be Navajo, but I have never seen heshi channel set. Maybe send a photo to the Heard Museum to see if they would give you an opinion. Garage sale huh?....sigh!
