Plant ID- Viburnum?

I don't know if this is native or not. It was growing on the edge of the woods beside the road. There are many more but this one has really large flowers- bigger than the rest. Reminescent of a chinese snowball almost. This is N La if that helps. I'm thinking some type of viburnum. It has a substantial trunk on it too. I really hope it's not a Photinia of some sort!

Looks like Viburnum rufidulum, yes. Known as rusty blackhaw viburnum. Can get up to 25-30 feet tall in ideal conditions. Very nice.

That looks like it! Thanks. Hopefully there might be a sucker I can dig up. This one had bigger flower heads than the rest.

That could be it. I'm finding it pretty difficult to differentiate between the varieties. As far as I can tell, this is native, as it's just growing amidst the weeds and shrubs. I was looking at V. lentago, V. prunifolium, and V. cassinoides too. They all look pretty similar to my novice eye. Maybe the berries will help me narrow it down further.

Based on the leaf shape, it seems they would be V. cassinoides (now consider V. nudum var. cassinoides), V. lentago, V. rufidulum (usually has shinier leaves though) or V. prunifolium. Both V. lentago and V. prunifolium can reach the size of a small tree (V. rufidulum can too but I don't think that is what you have). V. cassinoides seems to max out at about 6 feet based on some sources.

I'm not sure---I've looked up Ayesha, and the proper zone for that is 6-9. I'm 5a in Iowa. After a bit of time, the flowers turned a blush pink, and darkened to a mauve color. I'm not seeing if Ayesha starts with white buds or pink/blue. Also, wondering how the leaves are arranged, but I can't find a good description. Does anyone have a good "go to" detailed source for plant descriptions?

Or you can try to root some cuttings from the new growth on the branches.
