I live in SE Oklahoma and have an area of my yard that does not drain well, is very shady during most of the day and is under many oak trees. Any suggestions for what I can plant in this area, including shrubs?

Sounds like a place for a pond?

RE: Suggestions

I don't think that's a possibility due to tree roots. Add to that, it receives far too much drainage that would potentially flood out a pond.

Thank you for the suggestion, however. :)
