when will butterfly weed emerge in MD?

Hello. I know that butterfly weed is 'slow to emerge in spring' but I can't recall when mine came up last year and I'm starting to worry.. I live in Baltimore City, and I'd appreciate any input from folks nearby or anywhere in zone 7 as to when their butterfly weed comes up. Thanks very much.

Mine is about 6 inches up here in North Georgia.

The last two years I had two butterfly weed plants. This year only one came back, plus a few seedlings. The established plant is a foot tall and has flower buds. The other one just has last years leftover sticks that I let remain over the winter so I could find the plant in the spring. It's a goner.

Since we are close in geography and zone, I don't expect you'll see yours return. Sorry.

I was at a garden client's north of Philly, in their meadow today and it's all 12-18 inches high right now.
