Transplanting Virginia bluebells

I have a few of these, transplanted from my grandmotherâÂÂs garden before the place was sold in 2006. Those were moved at the only time I could be there, which was right after they went dormant. They look like they are doing well, in my dappled shade hosta bed; but if they are increasing, it is very slowly. I would like more.

I noticed a seedling in the lawn, about 6 inches tall and 4-6 leaves (non-blooming). Can I transplant this now, or is success more likely if I wait for dormancy? Thanks!
