| Hi all, I also posted this query on the "Shrub" Forum - forgive me. But can anyone here explain any characteristic differences between the Blueberry and Huckleberry shrub? Its too soon to tell by fruit and number of seeds. Anyway, to my eye the two look so similar. Also, do huckleberries need to cross-pollinate to set fruit? Thanks! |

| According to Petrides in "A Field Guide to Trees and Shrubs", none of the huckleberries have twigs densely covered with fine warty speckles. |
