Yes, my oxalis is the tropical species. So this *is* a baby plant developing. I'll wait until it gets bigger before removing it then....I'll also be curious to see if it gets little air roots. How interesting---I learn new stuff here every day. :) Thanks for responding everyone. :)

I had several Iron Cross oxalis that began producing all foliage with just a line and some that sent up the occasional leaf with the line. I don't like it as much as the IC with the solid block of color and I'm not sure if it will change back or will continue to produce just the lined foliage.

PLEASE do the smart thing and don't poison your garden and your family and your pets and yourself by using pesticides. Oxalis pes-caprae is the Bermuda buttercup/sourgrass oxalis that so many of us battle to keep out of our gardens. The solution is to "wear out" the bulbs. You don't have a hope of getting the bulbs and bulblets out of your soil. You need to do what I did, which is to pull out every single bit of oxalis----try to get that long center root----and just keep at it, every year, until the bulbs starve. This works. I now have an oxalis-free lawn and back yard. It takes some elbow grease and a lot of patience. It's a shame these weeds are so prolific and invasive, because bees adore the flowers. Just don't use Round-up or any of the other pesticides people suggest. You will be healthier and infinitely kinder to the planet, if you pull weeds or smother them, rather than using poisons. Don't believe it, when anyone tells you pesticides aren't poisoning you and and your garden.

How about some more costume jewelry ... Some pins I've collected over the years .. The horse has Sterling on the back of it. The goldtone one very top right is a Monet? The cattails to the left says "Tenn Silver, B9, E.F." on the back. The one with the orange stone seems very tarnished and I think it says "Made in Gr. Britain" on the back. The straight bar one has S&S on the back? The goldish "s" says "KOP - Stockholm" on the back The "earth" pin has something like @JJ on the back. Same with the Star stick pin. The gold leopard has MMA 1985 on the back. The little black, white and gold cat says "Shambala", somehting Beech? on the back. The colored flowers are newer ... I forget the maker though. I think the one older flower is ivory, how do I tell?
