Dead Branch/\Leaves On Wax Myrtle

Hello,
I'm not sure if I should post here or on the shrub forum.
Here is my question. I have been trying to grow a Wax Myrtle privacy hedge since last year. They are just about 5'5' tall and I noticed a branch with all dying leaves right in the middle of the plant.

There is no visible damage to the branch nor any pests.

Is this something that just happens or is my baby going to keel over? Should I just cut it out?

Thanks!

Halime
