I cleared some dead/diseased/poison ivy infested trees and sapplings from my yard and am now left w/lots of space to fill. It gets some sun, and I want something big, native, moderately growing and something for the wildlife.

I had 3 huge viburnums in the front yard when I bought this house and chopped them to the ground b/c I thought they were incredibly ugly. I now regret that terriblly as they were just in a bad spot -- and am now learning how wonderful this shrub is!!

So now, I have 2 cranberry viburnum (not compact-the big one) and a Burkwood viburnum ready to go in the ground (putting some green giant Thujas along the perimiter for a back ground--mixed border).

Now I want a shasta viburnum and more Burkwoods -- can I plant too many of these?? I have a very very long area to fill.

If you love or hate viburnum, tell me why. Any varieties i "must" have???!!
