planting wildflower plugs

c2g

I am in the process of converting my front yard from crabgrass to a native wildflower 'mini-meadow' area. I bought 32-plug trays of the following:

black eyed susan

slender fragrant goldenrod

purple coneflower

snow flurry aster

raydon's favorite aster

I dethatched the entire area by hand until I had basically bare soil. I planted almost all of the plugs at this point. I would say that the majority of the plants are spaced 1' apart throughout the entire yard (about 40' x 40'). I ammended the soil with humus and/or bumpercrop, and then mulched each plug.

My question now is what to do with the bare soil in between the mini mulch rings? Should I seed these areas with something or just let them go, figuring the plugs will cover this area by late summer.

Any suggestions welcome. It's an experiment for me at this point. Just getting into native planting with perennials. Thanks.
