List of Natives

I am looking to start planting natives in my yard and I need help finding a list (or lists).
I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia down in Sandbridge and I am trying to find a list of native plants.
Is there a website I could go to or does anyone know of hand?
I live right across from the beach, so I want plants for my particular location.

Thanks in advance

I would contact the Virginia Native Plant Society. They have a chapter in your area - the Hampton Roads chapter.

Here is a link that might be useful: VNPS

Thank you so much!

I talked to the president on the phone (steve) and he was very helpful!

If anyone wants the link to natives of Virginia here it is: http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/natural_heritage/documents/cp_nat_plants.pdf
But this is coastal plain!

Here are the others: http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/natural_heritage/nativeplants.shtml

They are on the right!

Hello to all,
I have a big list of native plant suppliers in the northeast north america biome. Because of the lack of suppliers here in New England, this is for companies that'll ship their plants.

It's broken down by plant type (trees, shrubs, wildflowers) and by region. It also has a number of native botanical information sources. I find that the nurseries have all sort of interesting information as to the botanical sites.

I have no idea how to post it here; if you want a copy let me know.

I'm in Norfolk but have lived on Sandfiddler. I can help you out if you'll email me for my phone# so we can chat! I have some seeds and plants you could use.
