| Despite its reputation as being pest and disease free, my sourwood has what I think is twig blight. The tree is 8 feet tall and has been doing very well. I started to prune off the affected parts, but it was much too much to do. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will my beloved tree survive? |
Follow-Up Postings:
|
| Mine will occasionally have some twig die-back after a harsh winter. |
|
| My tree is now completely defoliated, though suckers are coming up from the base. I'll wait to see what happens next year. |

| Sorry lacey, sourwoods are fantastic trees - equal in my opinion to the aristocratic dogwood. And far too underused. |
