Dicentra eximia Alba

I bought a plant of Dicentra eximia Alba and planted it this spring in a site that has full shade. It started out well but now is yellowing fast and seems to be dying. Too much shade? Or perhaps too much rain? We've had buckets and buckets of rain the past few weeks. One neighbor has lost a mature shrub that appears to have drowned (located near the downspout). I put the bleeding heart in a well drained spot, but I do have heavy soil that holds moisture and in a rain that lasts over 24 hours, I suppose it's possible that the plant was overwhelmed. But there was never any water standing there.

Those who are experienced growers of this plant, what do you think?
