Thanks everyone for all your ideas. I was so frustrated yesterday that I turned the skippy on and let it drip. I placed a piece of rubber liner under it so it can drain away from the filter. Thomba: Kit came with 2 rubber rings and one plastic ring. One rubber ring goes on the outside of the tank the other inside. Then the plastic one goes over the rubber one on the outside of the tank. It still leaks. Catherine: No I didn't try teflon or plumbers tape. Good idea though. I can't turn the square inside the tank because it's too close to the bottom of the tank. The corner catches as I try to turn it. My channel locks barely fit the plastic ring. Maybe I need bigger ones. Sandy: When I installed the skippy I didn't pour a footer or place it on cement blocks. It was level when I first set it up but I know it's not level now due to the ground settling. I raised my skimmer on Saturday and figured I would save the skippy remodel till next year. I thought the same thing because it doesn't leak till it gets a certain level. The area around the plug was clean but it was also wet. We were trying to do this in the pouring rain. Maybe it has to be completely dry to get a good seal. I already turned off and drained the skippy twice. This is getting very frustrating. Troy: Never head of o-ring grease. Do they sell it at Home Depot or Lowe's? Would it be in the plumbing section? Sam: Glue is an idea, but I think I'll use it as a last resort. Of course I could made a sandwich of hot glue, teflon tape and o-ring grease. I do have acrylic seal. Maybe I'll try some of that. It's supposed to rain all week so I probably won't be able to do anything till next weekend. At this point I am willing to try anything. Jenny

I have two kinds of monarda and they both grow quite differently here in Orlando. The monarda punctata grows like a weed but the other which I think is like what you have,doesn't seem to do a whole lot. It did bloom a bit better this year and I have had it for three years or so. I think it may need better soil and some fertilizer so I am going to try moving it around the yard. I am also going to try it in a spot with a bit of shade as I think the full sun in Florida is just too much for many plants.

5/19/22 - We had the same thing with the constant "springy-knocking" sounds on day one with our brand new lazy-boy rocker recliner- Trooper style. Before calling the furniture store that's 45 minutes away, we decided to flip it over and check springs..What my husband did was spray a bit of Garage Door Lubricant spray on the large springs on both sides--flipped it over & tried it.. Instantly fixed! No more annoying noise! Yay!! 👍

It does appear that the exterior soil is higher than the slab. That will always allow water into the interior. The grade away from the home should start 6" below the sill plate, and extend away from the home 10 feet or more. If you closed during winter weather, where final grading was yet to be done, that could be one explanation for improper grading. But this is a builder issue, and should start with him, and his warranty for his work. If you are unable to get a satisfactory solution after those conversations, then pictures and measurements are useful tools when visiting your code inspection office. If you do not have a laser level to shoot the horizontal line, you can use a water level. It is simple and inexpensive to build. But, I would highly recommend buying a 3 axis laser level for general home use. It's great for hanging pictures, and all kinds of home projects.
