Plant Identification - Woody cane with prickers

Along the woods near our yard we have wild raspberries growing in abundance. It's still early spring here in the way north, so no flowers or fruit yet, but I noticed this plant growing near the raspberries, and was wondering if anyone knew what it was. It looks a lot like the raspberries, but the leaves seem to be hastate rather than palmately (or pinnately) trifoliolate like a raspberry/blackberry. They're growing on a prickly cane, similar to the raspberries, which you can see in the one photo. It's the only one of it's kind in the area. Any ideas? Thanks!
