Eat wild onion seeds?

Many a forager will eat a wild onion (technically wild garlic I think), but I can't find any info anywhere on whether or not you can eat the seeds. I've never heard of any part of a wild onion being poisonous to humans, but nobody ever mentions the seeds. I nibbled a few and was quite surprised at how good they were, almost like a spice, or toasted pine nuts with a slight oniony flavor.

Does anyone have any information on this?

There are many plants with the common name "wild onion". What is the scientific name of the plant that you want to know about?

Allium vineale or Allium canadense. They are hard to distinguish from each other. It's the stuff that makes a cows milk taste like onion if it eats some, not the stuff that kills cows.
