Looking for northern seed of Cephalanthus occidentalis

Posted by dandy_line 4a-Mn (My Page) on

Hello. I bought some seed of Cephalanthus occidentalis, 'Button Bush' 5 years ago from a pretty reliable source. They germinated, grew, flowered, and then froze out this last winter at -25f temps.
If anyone in the northern tier, < Z5, has native Button Bush that could share some seeds, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

I have some....though you might do better with a twig for rooting than with seeds.

email me your address.

Hello-I just sent you an email. We can do a trade this fall if you like. I'll have lots of nice natives here that are northern hardy.
