| I found this spikey dandelion looking plant growing in my back yard. I've enclosed a picture. It's very harsh to touch but looks like maybe a flower of some sort will eventually bloom.
I've seen smaller similar plants but this thing is probably a foot tall and growing. Any help?

| What you have is a weed species BUT A VERY IMPORTANT weed species. Got any hummingbirds in your area. They enjoy picking the silky tassels of the seeds to line their tiny nests with. If so save the plant. |
