Bush ID?

There's bush that looks similar to an autumn olive that produces red berries. I've seen them around here in VA, are they autumn olives or something else?

If it has a silver-y back to the leaf, it is probably an Elaeagnus.

Thank you so much, Mac! I looked up the Tibouchina and it looks like it can be pruned without an issue. Perhaps I will give it one more season and fertilize it next year to see how it does. Ad for the olive tree -- I had no idea they turn purple when mature!! I learn something new every day! I like the tree itself but will also give it some food next year. I totally ignored the front this year and let the sprinklers do what they do. Grace

aka smoke bush ... was my guess also ... compare flowers at link.. but of course.. you dont have the purple leafed one .. ken https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Cotinus&t=ffcm&iax=1&ia=images add the word LEAVES to the search .. and see if they match then remove that.. and add flowers.. see if they match ...
