Plant Id?

This little vine is growing in my garden in the Mojave Desert in Southern Ca. This is the 2nd year it has appeared. I used to have a Jasmine plant that did not last long and thought it might be from that, but cannot find any pictures of any plants with leaves like this.

Looks like a young passionflower vine, Passiflora caerulea.

Thanks Gardengal48 :-) A couple of friends have given me Passionflower pods and cuttings , but nothing ever came up...guess it takes a couple of years sometimes !

This is not an Eastern Lubber. It is Schistocerca obscura (Fabricius). This species belongs to a group of especially strong fliers called "bird" grasshoppers. Its taste for certain valuable ornamental plants such as hibiscus often brings it into conflict with humans . a crushed leaf... for a brief second or two.. might smell like rootbeer but sometimes not ... but all 3 will smell the same.. if the same.. rootbeer or not... ken

The first one is a Peperomia; I don't know which, but you can poke around over at peperomia.net and maybe find it. The second is Elatostema repens - which has been known as Pellionia repens until recently.
