Help Identify

A plant started growing in the spaces of my flagstone patio. I let it grow, thinking it was meadow sage that I would move to another garden. It is now 35" tall. The first 15" is comprised of opposite leaves, gwoing in clusters, that resemble that of sage. A 20" stem shoots above the leaves and has sparse branches with buds. I was waiting for them to flower and upon closer inspection, noticed they were already blooming. The flower is about 1/4" long. It looks like a very small hood that is faintly red on the top edge; the part of the flower under the hood is even smaller. There is no distinctive fragrance from flower or leaves. I have been unable to identify it from wildflower books. It just appeared in my yard. Any ideas?????? Sorry, I don't have a digital camera for a picture....
