Yup, Alliaria petiolata, Garlic Mustard. It's a biennial - makes a flowerless rosette of leaves the first year, and then has a good start when it flowers next spring. It's a terrible invasive around here in NJ - big swaths of woods are nothing but Garlic Mustard in the spring. WW Here is a link that might be useful: Garlic Mustard

As you have heard before, damper is relative...and the more barren areas it grows in nature, have good drainage, usually a slope. And....damp in Arkansas or Oklahoma is a lot different than damp in the NE. I'd suggest well-drained in your area.

All I can say is be patient. I've never sown them personally, although in some of our prairie plantings, regular mountain mint is a common component. So I know it works. I think you were right to dormant seed them. That's how all of our prairie plantings get done. Beyond that, I can't really offer anything. +om
