Does anyone know what this is?:

Grows in lane ways etc in downtown Toronto. A sort of creeping habit, blossoms about half an inch across and quite inconspicuous despite brilliant colour.

RE: mystery wild flower

Asiatic dayflower, Commelina communis, an annual and not a native. The native one, C. virginica, is a perennial and all flower petals are purple. In the Asiatic, the bottom flower petal is short and white, as in your photo. There is another one, creeping, C. diffusa, but I think the flowers are very small.
