Identify this Flower?

Hi! I am just curious what kind of wildflower this would be. I found it in an open spot of forest. It isn't horsenettle. It's fruit is green and round, very much like a pea.

The flowers were very small, perhaps .25 inch at most.

If you could identify this for me, that would be great.

Nightshade, perhaps Solanum nigrum.

Right on! I had never seen it in my area, before. Fascinating.

Thank you, FataMorgana!

Glad to help!

I never had this one here until it came in with a load of topsoil.

RE: Identify this Flower?

Quite common here in SW MI, at the outer edge of a small wooded preserve in mostly disturbed soil in full sun, and scattered randomly in a nature preserve both in partially shaded areas and mostly sunny spots; I can't say if in both locations it was recently introduced or not; I only started paying close attention the last couple of years since I retired but it was never obviously present in other locations like along the roadside.
