| While cleaning up my backyard (which exists in a semi-wild state), I found a plant I can't identify. It has long (6" or more) leaves which seem to grow two to a plant, and nestled at the base between them is a large, egg-size or better, cluster of bright red berries. I pulled one up and the root looks almost bulbous. Any ideas? |

| That's it! Strange that I cold't find it in my wildflower guides. Thanks. Now, to plant for next year or not. It apparently loves the spot where the washing machine drains - not very scenic! |

| I never would have thought of Jack-in-the-pulpit from your description. Jacks have three not two leaves and the berries are on a stalk not nesled at the base. The only thing linking it to Jacks is the bulbous root (Indian turnip) |
