Hi Mark and welcome to the Hoya Forum! If you want to grow hoyas indoors, you have to make sure they do not get direct sunlight for a long period of time. You mentioned your indoor plant growing area getting some afternoon sun. That should not be a problem with your hoyas. I'm guessing this is a west-facing window? I have hoyas that are in my west-facing garden window that gets direct sun for maybe 30 minutes a day. These hoyas I have are warm-growing ones. I recommend: H. Carnosa, Krimson Queen, H. Diptera, H. Cummingiana, and H. Loherii (my favorite). I have a 13-year old KQ that I had to move from the garden window because the leaves were burning. Now some hoyas that are called Eirostemmas (they lack the climbing roots growing on the vines) require full sun in order to bloom. These kinds of hoyas are a little tricker to get into bloom. If you want to grow hoyas outdoors, you can as long as they, again, do not get direct sun for a long time. The cool-growing hoyas, such as H. Shepherdii, H. Serpens, and H. Polyneura may be fine outdoors at night if you keep them on the north side of your home so they do not get direct sun during the day. I have a Carnosa growing in a pot in the shade next to my tool shed (north side) under a tree. Other than a squirt of water once in a while, she blooms every spring/summer and seems to do fine there. Hi Suzi, Unfortunately not all sellers get the same price on a plant like this. I think maybe most Deppeas have been sold by the same seller on Ebay, and his reputation is such that he can get top dollar. I've only sold a few things on Ebay, so if I were to sell them I doubt I would do as well. The one plant that I have sold that has gone for hundreds sometimes is Brugmansia vulcancicola, Strybing hybrid. I think one went for as high as $450 last year. The most I've gotten (for a small plant) is $50. This is a complicated situation, since the true species was just recently brought into cultivation in the U.S. So things may be different. Still, I can't imagine there are 20 people all willing to pay high prices for a Deppea. But maybe I'm wrong... Other than that one seller, who I *think* propagates his own plants, most Deppeas for auction are plants that people bought at a Strybing or perhaps UC Botanical Garden/Berkeley sales and are reselling for a profit. They sell them for $10-$15 at Strybing sales.

I just bought the seeds from ebay and it arrived yesterday. It was so tiny that I end up planting all of it. I would like to know if anyone here grow this variety and if they have any photo they can post so I can compare mind when they sprout. Thank you.
