I checked your MyPage, but didn't find your location. The only lapwing that frequents the US is the Northern Lapwing, but the bird in your photo more closely resembles a Southern Lapwing, from S. America

It is Costus spicatus, an old heirloom plant. It was popular decades ago and common in older neighborhoods but hardly ever sold anymore. Its a very easy ginger, grows in part sun or shade but needs moist soil. It gets a cone like inflorescence that is orange, not as showy as Costus barbatus but still nice.

The cactus might be an echinopsis. Does it have big, showy flowers? The brown part is probably corking after some old damage (sunburn? frost? mites?). As long as it is not spreading quickly it shouldn't be a problem. The last one is definitely an Aloe, but probably not A. vera. I don't know which one, though. These could all use more light. If you are moving them into full sun, be careful to do it gradually so they don't sunburn.

you cant take a plant that has been indoors for 10 years and stick it out in full sun ... without properly hardening it off to such ... but if you were to cut it down to just above where the new shoot is.. then it wont have any leaves to sunburn.... so you might get away with it ... and since you will have a big piece ... see if you can propagate/root small pieces .. and start new .. and if you do that .. then i would just throw out the old plant ... since you cutting are the old plant .. you arent losing the plant ... if its not obvious.. it is severely pot bound ... and i wonder if there is actually any potting media in that pot ... which means you probably have watering issues [especially if you put it out in full sun] .. which is probably why the leaves are so off color.. if not for all the accumulated salts in the old media ... ken
