Need help trying to ID this plant.

I found this growing as a seedling in a pavement driveway crack last fall at a Hispanic Church planted in what looked like various Texas or New Mexico natives. It blooms in fall and has light green threadlike leaves, longer leaves along with shorter ones spaced about one half inch along woody stems. The mature plants looked kind of broom-like. I am leaning toward some type of Ericameria trying to ID it but not really sure. It smells lemony when rubbed and then like turpentine when crushed. Maybe Turpentine Bush? Its about one foot tall and perennial.

I found this flower online. This is pretty close but not exact because they are not this elongated. They are very tiny flowers that smother the entire plant. It doesn't have daisy like petals.
