It's a pin, intended to hold a watch on the clip.....and someone has added 2 other things to the pin that have no relation to the original. Was there also a watch in the box?

That's a particularly good example. The coloring can vary. Some are wishy washy.

I found the post again and someone has ID'd it as this: https://turf.purdue.edu/prostrate-knotweed/ It's a little misleading from her photo, because to me it looked much taller and it definitely is more robust and happier than the plants in the photos on google images. Ornothogalums are weirdly long lived as cut flowers. I don't know how they do it. I used the orange O dubium in DD's wedding flowers and they lasted for weeks.
