How should I care for my Gulf Muhly here in winter?

RE: Gulf Muhly in Winter?

I do not find that it needs any special care due to the cold. That is in the austin area it needs nothing. Maybe cut it back in the late winter/early spring so it puts all it's strength in fresh growth. I know Mexican wire grass likes that. I saw that on Plant delights site, someone has crossed gulf muhly with Lindheimer muhly.
