I have been a member of this site for some time but I haven't been active because I forgot about it. I love our native plants here in California and two years ago I finally ripped out the lawn in redid the front of my house with nothing bur native plants.
I haven't regretted doing it one bit and my garden has been such a joy to me. There are more birds and butterflies and of course plenty of lizards who like to lounge around on the rocks in the dry stream bed . I'm not an expert with natives and just beginning to learn about them and spread the joy of having a garden made up of our local, beautiful and lovely native plants.
