Best source for native woodland perennials?

Hi all.

I'm currently planning a project in a woodland area here in southcentral Kentucky that I've been working on this past year. The soil will be ready to plant next spring. I already have my shrubs in place, save some native azaleas, and want to order some perennials. I've started a list of what I want, now I need to decide on a vendor. So far I've looked at the following:

Dropseed Nursery - Louisville, KY - no mail order, 4" and gallons, expensive

Shooting Star Nursery - northeastern KY - good selection, fair prices

Sunlight Gardens - eastern TN - fair selection, comparable price to Shooting Star

Prairie Nursery - Wisconsin - large selection, prices good with volume per species

Prairie Moon Nursery - Minnesota - extensive selection, bareroot

Ion Exchange - Iowa - plugs (84s) only

and three wholesale nurseries:

Nashville Natives - don't know the minimum order, all sizes from plugs to gallons, comparable prices, good selection, these look like good people to work with on large projects

Northcreek Nurseries - PA - $300 minimum, mostly cultivars of natives

Spence Restoration Nurseries - IN - $250 minimum, mostly prairie plants

I've not done business with any of these but would like input on how their plants fare if you have experience with them, also I'd like to know if bareroot is an OK way to go, Prairie Moon seems to be the only bareroot vendor out there. If you have other suggestions for sources, please do.

Thanks!
