hedgerow possibilities for coastal climate

I'm looking for some native plant candidates to plant on property in coastal northern ca. Conditions: sandy soil, low rainfall (so must be drought tolerant), wind. Property is in Marin County N of San Francisco

Take a trip to coastal areas nearby and see what is growing that you like the looks of.

If you don't know what it is, take good detailed pictures of the leaves, how the leaves attach to the twigs, the bark, flowers, etc. and post to the Name That Plant forum. The folks there are amazing as to what they can ID.

You might be able to get some good information from a nursery in your area. The link below looks like a good match.
