Solanum americanum... to eradicate or not to eradicate?

The first thing that popped up on my 8000sf blank slate of a lawn, aside from masses of dandelions, was something that appears to be S. americanum, or American black nightshade. From what I can tell, it's native to my region, but considered invasive in some areas, and most of the more official resources seem to consider it evil, I guess because it's toxic. However, I'm reluctant to start pulling native plants without a very clear indication that this thing is bad news. Right now I just have one small plant. Am I likely to wind up with a huge problem if I let it do its thing?
