Unique idea for starting seeds

I scanned this image for my fellow GWebbers to view which came from a recent issue of a magazine I subscribe to.
Next time you use eggs, crack the egg(s) in half and rinse out the egg residue.
• Poke a drainage hole in the bottom w/ a sharp instrument
• Fill the shells w/ seed starting mix
• Sow the seeds
When the seedlings are ready for transplanting, gently crush the eggshell w/ your fingers and plant the seedling, eggshell and all. The shells will provide calcium to the plants as they grow and improve your soil as it decomposes.

lil Rhody, So Cool! I think it would be a great inside early Spring "child project" to have the eggs and some nastutium seeds. Plant and grow! Best, PP |
