RE: Elephant Ears

Hi Sailfish: I grew my elephant ears last year for the first time in an old whiskey barrel. They did just fine although I found it took them a while to get started here zone 6a/b. I was thinking of taking them out of the container and saving them for this season but way too much work to me and I ran out of time in the fall. I think you will enjoy growing these bulbs. They were new for me and everyone who visited my garden commented on them. I don't know what variety they were however.

Good luck - Luvherbz

RE: Elephant Ears

I have a plant (I think it is actualy 2 bulbs) that I bought 2 years ago and have overwintered inside for the last 2 winters and it is doing great. It doesnt grow as well indoors but it makes a fine houseplant.
