Anyone grow Aster Purple Domes?

Posted by deejavu z7 NY (My Page) on

Hi all,

I just bought Aster Purple Dome Plants and don't know how they will do. I am going to plant them in a very sunny area in front of my house.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has grown these plants.

Thanks,
Denise

Great plant. I think it is one of the nicest in the aster family. The color is intense purple with yellow centers. The most compact of the species (18"). Looks great with bright yellow.

Thanks! I bought 12 of them and when they start blooming, I will take pictures of them. I am trying to fill the front edge of my property (where I have a retaining wall) with flowering plants that will come back every year.
