I have a couple pictures of some things blooming in my gardens right now that I thought others might find interesting.

The first shot is an asian Jack, the second a chinese Ladyslipper, the third an insectivorous Sundew.

Thanks KWoods. Now, I just have to figure out how to do this posting thing myself!

Beautiful,KWoods.I'm also in LI/NY. I had Jack and Lady Slippers in May. They've already succumbed to the heat we've been having. Ditto my astilbe, bleeding hearts, and foam flower.

Too_Many_Pets it's relatively easy. Just go to imageshack.us and follow instructions to upload your picture. Then copy the code on the resulting page and put it in your post. I think imageshack might explain it better.

Jannie, I had some earlier Jacks (engleri, triphyllum, dracontium, urashima, sikokianum) that are done now but candidissimum is really late and I'm still waiting on grifithii and galeatum, I have an erubascens coming along now that I'll take some pictures of this weekend and post. I really like the asian Arisaema and am continuing to collect them.

A lot of my astilbe are still going but I'm not sure what varieties I have. Bleeding hearts, foam flower, trillium, etc. all done.

The ladyslipper also suprised me by being really late (I collect these guys too). I thought it was reginae because it was coming up with them but it turns out it's a Cypripedium franchetti (got it IDed on the orchid forum) that I planted last fall.

The third picture is a Drosera filiformis which now has tiny purple blossoms. It catches lots of gnats and mosquitos. I have it in an artificial bog with pitcher plants, flytraps and orchids.
