What is this lovely plant???

I've been literally excavating our property for 2+ years. The previous owner let everything go. Found out all the privacy trees and shrubs were nothing more than low plants and shrubs at one time, that's how overgrown it is.

This fall I cut back a lot of things to about 2 ft high.

Two of the plants came green in the spring. One had curly fiendish serrated leaves and the other had serrated but not curly leaves-both have identical fuscia colored 'yarrow-style' flowers. can you tell me what this one is?

I'm in central eastern NJ.
