What a storm!

My garden looks like a tornado came through. The combination of 2" of rain overnight, and strong NE winds, has ravaged many of my plants. Sunflowers, Cilantro, Evening Primrose are all flattened. What was left of my lettuce is flattened.

As soon as it stops raining, I'll see if I can save anything by staking them up. The Sunflowers had just started blooming, and the Primrose was covered with at least 2 dozen blossoms.

Rats!

Hi Guys, You didn't have anything. I live on LI but was visiting my daughter in DE. We got 8 inches of rain, high winds, hail and tornado warnings. That went by and another came in!! We lost power for 8 hours and my daughters basement floods without the sump pump, had to start up a generator to get the pump going and had to squiggee(Spelling) the basement. Her horses barn was completely flooded and he was standing in 3 inches of water. To top that off we had 10 four week old puppies to take care of and feed by candlelight!! Thank goodness the dog kennel was dry or we would have had 8 more dogs in the darkened house. SUCH FUN!!! Lynne
