Hello,

please email me at Clujenul@yahoo.com

thank you!

You could find a member of the American Bamboo Society on LI. Lots of people grow bamboo there. Do a Google on the society to get their website, and then find contact information there on the Northeast Chapter (that's the one most Long Islanders belong to). The chapter has seasonal bamboo cleanups where volunteers go and thin out groves. You might want to be part of that.

Aiden's a longtime active ABS member who might know someone closer to you with a grove that needs some thinning.

I've got a stand of mature bamboo up to 5" in circumference, 8'-12' tall. No idea what it is, other than INVASIVE! It is very cool material, tho. If you're near Huntington, you're welcome to as much as you can machete!
