Looking for an annual suggestion -

| Hi, I'm looking for a low growing annual to fill in some of the "open" spots it the front of our perennial beds. Most spots get 4-7 hours of sun. I prefer not to go with impatients, but need something else that will spread out nicely within one months time. I was leaning towards Nasturtium but would love some more suggestions. Anything with white, purple, pink or red flowers will work.
Thanks in advance,

How about lobelia, alissyium, begonia. Lots of liquid fertilizer.

How about wave petunias. I have a couple between roses and they have filled in the space and are heading for the lawn. I just try to steer them in a better direction.

I love Nasturtiums. I have them everywhere but they can poop out in the extreme heat and then revive for the fall. You might not like that. I am loving the profusion zinnias I have planted for the first time. I have seen them in pink, red, orange, white and yellow. I was not much of a zinnia lover in the past, but this year, they have grown on me!

I've had good luck with the shorter-growing snapdragons. If you keep them deadheaded, they'll bloom all summer, and some have pretty grey-green foliage, too.

Another great annual that looks like impatiens but has the colors you want are flowering vinca or Madagascar periwinkle or its Latin name Catharanthus rosea. They get bushy and mound nicely in full sun areas.
